Making our Community Better
Since 1992 I have been able to obtain millions of dollars in state community development dollars to help our libraries, parks, trails, athletic associations and volunteer emergency companies provide the services that make our community such a great place to live and work.
Some of the more significant grants include $850,000 for the Souderton Boys and Girls Club, $1 million for the YMCA in Franconia, $450,000 to improve recreational areas in Franconia, Hatfield and Lansdale, and $215,000 for Hatfield Borough and Hatfield Township for road and safety improvements. These facilities benefit the community and take some of the tax burden off of local property taxpayers.
In addition, I worked closely with PennDOT to obtain the $40 million necessary to develop the Route 309 connector and improve traffic in the area.
